Our emergency department provides 24-hour-a-day care for patients with all types of acute illness or injury. Our 47-bed level I trauma emergency department is a great place to become an expert Acute Care LPN. Here you will be exposed to a variety of specialized procedural nursing skills.

Key Responsibilities
The Acute Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a key member of the interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered acute nursing care to individuals with a variety of acute and/or chronic medical issues who enter the ED. The LPN is a collaborative team member in partnership with and under the supervision of the registered nurse.
As an Acute Care LPN you will provide direct nursing care to patients as assigned which includes collect assessment data, administration of medications, and performs activities of daily living including, among others bathing, mouth care, feeding patients, range of motion, walking patients and transporting patients, in accordance with Nursing Department/Hospital policies and procedures.
Reports changes in patient status to the RN and members of the health care team as they occur and communicate information in verbal and written reports that describe care delivered to the patient.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing program.
Prior Licensed Practical Nursing experience required.
Active DC LPN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
