Primary Duties
Works closely with the Nursing Department and appropriate Nursing Managers to ensure Nurse Recruitment and Retention information is accurately and promptly relayed and communicated. Affects changes to processes as needed and discussed with the Nurse Recruitment Team and the AVP, Operations Support.
Performs administrative support functions for the nurse recruiters, including answering the telephones, copying and communicating/transmitting information to the appropriate personnel, sending faxes and correspondence, etc. Maintains travel arrangements. Arranges appointments, meetings, and conferences. Contacts the appropriate personnel to ensure coordination/attendance.
Composes and types correspondence and letters, memoranda, spreadsheets, bonuses, referrals etc., as required, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Disseminates mail/correspondence. Files and organizes correspondence, departmental records, as appropriate.
Prepares and places advertisements in regional and national newspapers, websites, journals, and magazines. Coordinates career days, and open house opportunities for applicants.
Monitors hiring requisitions, position control and other nursing recruitment and retention data.
Assists with the development, appraisal, and implementation of strategies required for the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
Facilitates the processing/completion of a variety of programs, such as nursing orientation, nursing open houses, , retention events, etc.
Prepares for and participates in departmental meetings, including follow-up on actions resulting from these meetings, as well as recording, transcribing, and distributing the minutes.
Enters and tracks background checks and drug testing as well as setting potential employees up for on-boarding and human resource appointments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Bachelors of Art or Bachelors Science Required
1-2 years Comparable administrative experience Required
Previous statistical data analysis and work in a large complex nursing environment Preferred
Ability to manipulate and analyze large volumes of statistical data, ability to work well with a variety of different personnel.
Ability to type between 55-60 words per minute.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, file maintenance, and facility with Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
