Power query experience and power BI experience required
Needs accounting experience with Data analytics as well. Not looking for a technical accountant. Candidate will build out data models, strong understanding of how to work through solutions. Experience in cost / project accounting. More on cost and expense side.
Key responsibilities
Cleaning and preparing data for analysisAnalyzing data for trends and correlationsBuilding predictive modelsSupporting big data projectsDesigning and developing databasesOrganizing, interpreting, and visualizing dataCommunicating results to stakeholdersUsing data modeling techniques to bring cohesion to unstructured and semi-structured data.Conducting quantitative analysis to obtain insights, developing these into workable solutions, and then followingthese through to successful delivery (while measuring outcomes).
Required and preferred skills
Demonstrated advance experience / proficiencies in MSAccess, Excel, and Power Products (Power BI, PowerQuery, etc.), SQL, Alteryx, Proficient in MS Office products(Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
Strong understanding of Order to Cash processes.Experience or background in accounting, finance, contractand project accounting strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Peoplesoft / Oracle Fusion preferred.
Experience with driving data to insights and sustainableprocess in a large matrixed organization.
Strong analytical and communication skills that allow forthe development of data driven reports. In-depthknowledge of spreadsheet, reporting, query and / orrelational database software required
Advanced PC skills in Microsoft Office : Excel, Word, andPowerPoint. Strong Excel Knowledge, data manipulation,pivot tables, etc.
Experience in project accounting and systems may substitute years of relatedexperience in lieu of degree
Education / Experience : Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred
