In two 12-month rotations, gain valuable hands-on experiences with access to leadership, professional development and mentor programs. At the conclusion of your rotation program, you will be well prepared for your first assignments as a Finance Analyst at Medtronic.
A DAY IN THE LIFE

* Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Medtronic Finance function.
* Assess strategic, operational, and financial risk within and across business units and functions of the Enterprise and participate in the development, execution, and reporting of risk mitigation plans.
* Develop and manage a budget.
* Work with Medtronic's key financial systems such as SAP, Hyperion, Tableau, PowerBI and more to enable understanding of the relationship between tools to capture and analyze data to use for our competitive advantage.
* Perform financial analysis and provide modeling support; maintain financial models and assist with reporting impact of significant and/or unusual fluctuations in organizational spending and financial statements.
* Provide analysis and support during the AOP (annual operating plan) and quarterly forecasting processes.
* Support Finance process improvement initiatives related to expense management and department reengineering (i.e. in the monthly close, forecasting, and AOP processes).
* Complete special projects as delegated by Finance directors, managers, or other analysts including, but not limited to business P&L analysis, presentation materials (graphs or schedules), and economic analysis.
* Collaborate on projects across the Medtronic matrix.
MUST HAVE:
* Graduating senior with BA or BS in Accounting or Finance (must have a graduation date of Spring 2023 to be considered)
* 3.0 GPA or higher out of 4.0 scale
* Solid foundation in accounting, finance, and business management fundamentals
* Internship experience or relevant general business experience
* Demonstrated leadership experience through volunteer, work, or student involvement
* Eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis
NICE TO HAVE:
* Developing interest, experience, and capabilities with data visualization presentation and tools
* Ability to work independently and interface in a team environment
* Results-oriented individual with demonstrated capacity to take charge of assigned projects with sense of urgency
* Continuous improvement mindset
* Willingness to relocate
* Experience in the life sciences, healthcare, or medical device field
