You will join Medtronic’s Surgical Innovations Manufacturing monomer or polymer team located in our North Haven, CT manufacturing facility and may work in Monomer or Polymer.We are the global pioneer of advanced surgical instruments. Schedule details: 2nd Shift - This position follows an on-site schedule of Monday through Friday, with working hours from 2:30PM-11:00PM.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Operates automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.
- Equipment includes mixers, grinders, filter presses, dryers, filtering equipment, pumps, and filling machines.
- Performs quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identifies variations.
- Processes may generate high pressure and/or critical reactions and requires training in hazardous material handling and emergency procedures.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- 0 years of experience required.
Nice to Have
- Gowning and clean rooms procedures.
- Exposure to heat temperatures and fumes
- How to sift chemicals
- Operating motorized equipment like cart caddy and hoist.
- Using basic tools (ratchet, screw drivers, snap on, among others)
- Moving heavy equipment
- On GMP’s, GDP’s and ISO regulation 13485.
- How to clean glassware, melted material and stainless-steel parts.
- How to weigh chemicals and prepare recipes based on procedure.
- Able to Lift 50 pounds

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
