A Day in the Life

The US Senior Manager of Commercial Operations will be a valued member of the United States Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Commercial Team. Serving as a key strategic partner with a relentless pursuit and strong execution of operating mechanism enhancement and standardization to make work easier. This individual will work alongside the US CRM Commercial Leadership Team, US CRM Business Leaders, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other functional partners to ensure we achieve our collective vision of delivering an unsurpassed and consistent level of execution across the US CRM Organization.

This individual will start each day with a relentless desire to pursue and execute operating mechanisms, enhancements, and standardization to drive efficiencies and make work easier.

  • Operational Standardization & Excellence
  • Support the execution of the Commercial Operations strategy aligned with CRM objectives, sales targets, and market dynamics.
  • Partner with Commercial Analytics to define KPIs, build scorecards, and deliver advanced reporting for visibility and impact.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to allow for unwavering and undistracted focus for the field team.
  • Serve as a strategic partner and operational lead for sales and marketing programs, including Next Era and cross-OU collaboration.
  • Own and drive the US CRM Field Calendaring Project, ensuring coordination and alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Support US Region QBRs and other field calls through template and content development.
  • Champion effective communication practices that foster engagement and alignment across commercial, field, and cross-functional teams.
  • Field Productivity Optimization
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to increase sales productivity.
  • Manage and evolve field productivity metrics: time allocation, resource usage, and headcount modeling.
  • Own the Field Productivity Report for US CRM Sales & Service Leadership.
  • Deliver insights on growth opportunities, regional productivity differences, and AOP alignment.
  • Lead territory optimization, expansion, and targeting efforts using AlignMix.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison & Strategic Enabler
  • Act as the US CRM representative to Americas COMEX and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead sales enablement strategy and systems improvements (Salesforce.com, enterprise systems).
  • Serve as escalation contact for system issues and enterprise-wide initiatives (FCA, Customer Service, Compliance).
  • Partner with Inventory, Customer Care, and Supply Chain to execute quarter-end planning, cycle counts, and inventory schedules.
  • Drive continuous improvement in FCA management and related processes.


Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Health Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in Sales, Operations, Marketing, or Finance – 5 years with an advanced degree.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • 5 years of commercial/sales operations experience.
  • Experience in sales planning, sales enablement, or field sales support.
  • Demonstrated success in change management within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience handling high-visibility assignments.
  • Understanding of financial systems and sales budgeting.
  • Experience working in the CRM (Cardiac Rhythm Management) field or related medical device industry.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$129,600.00 - $194,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20 hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
