About Us
Medvacon Life Sciences is a consulting and managed services firm that partners with life sciences companies — including pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device organizations — to solve regulatory and operational challenges. We specialize in quality systems, compliance, validation, training, and workforce solutions. We are a certified Small Business (SBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), and we are now positioned to expand into the federal contracting space.
The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Federal Contracts & SAM.gov Consultant to help us identify, pursue, and win federal work that aligns with our services. This is an early-stage role with flexible hours, direct access to decision-makers, and a real path to growth — whether you stay as a consultant or become our first full-time federal hire down the road. You’ll build the engine, shape the strategy, and submit bids that actually make sense, not shotgun everything.

- Review and update our SAM.gov and DSBS profiles, certifications, and keywords
- Match Medvacon’s services to NAICS codes, set-aside programs, and agency needs

- Build a basic internal tracker for submissions, deadlines, and follow-up
- Advise on federal systems we should join (GSA, PIEE, FedConnect, etc.)
- Support awarded contracts with onboarding, compliance, and reporting, when needed
- 4 years of hands-on federal contracting experience — especially proposal writing and opportunity tracking
- Confident navigating SAM.gov, FAR basics, small business set-asides, and contractor portals
- Bonus if you know or have worked with life sciences, validation, compliance, or training services
- Strong writer with solid organizational and communication skills
- Self-starter — you’ll have support, but you’ll own your lane
- Someone who’s excited to grow with a company, not just check boxes
- You have a strong understanding of federal contracting and enjoy working independently to identify and pursue high-quality opportunities
- You’re looking for a flexible consulting role with the potential to grow into a long-term or full-time position, based on performance and mutual fit
- You value being part of a company where your work has a direct impact and your expertise is respected
- You’re interested in helping a certified small business establish a meaningful federal presence, and you’re motivated by the opportunity to help shape that strategy from the ground up
- You’re comfortable advising leadership and enjoy being trusted as the subject matter expert in your area
