Screw Machine Set Up Operator
TYPE: Machinist

MACHINERY: Acme Multiple Spindle Screw Machine
SHIFT: 1st Shift
HOURLY RATE: up to $35.00 per hour plus overtime
HOURS: Flexible Start Times, Monday – Thursday. OT on Friday
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work from prints, tool lists, layouts and set up sheets.
- Set up Acme Gridley Automatic Screw Machines
- Set collets, cams, gears, tool holders, cutting tools and screw machine attachments.
- Set up cutting tools such as: forms, shaves, drills, step drills, thread rolls, reamers, taps, recess, broach, knurl, carbide inserts and other special tools
- Make adjustments to achieve the proper dimensions.
- Perform machine PM’s and minor repairs.
- Train operators on machining methods and the process
