This role will manage the corporate accounting team, maintain the general ledger, and support the CFO and other senior leaders with financial reporting and analysis. The successful candidate will proactively recommend solutions related to financial reporting, control improvements, and technology-aided efficiencies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, expense management, treasury activities, and financial reporting.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Supervise the execution of operational and financial controls and procedures.
- Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting and monthly financial forecasting process.
- Support senior leadership with financial reporting and analysis.
- Manage the corporate accounting team, including training and performance management.
- Oversee annual independent audits, third party valuations, and the filing of tax returns.
- Assist with special projects as required.

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting/finance with a focus on financial management and leadership roles.
- CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Holding a Series 28 license and/or prior experience with broker-dealers is preferred.
- Financial Services industry experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate taxation.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
