Job description:
Retail Tire Sales Associate evaluates retail customer needs and makes product/service recommendations accordingly. Schedules appointments with the service department. Being a Retail Tire Sales Associate answers telephone calls in a professional manner and refers callers to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
- Experience preferred within an automotive, high paced tire shop environment, with knowledge of tires and mechanical service
- Provide great customer service and aid in daily scheduling for service appointments
- Ask owners questions and perform visual inspections of cars to determine the cause of problems.
- Explain to customers what kinds of repairs or servicing their car needs and make cost estimates for the work.
- Track repair status and fill out reports detailing the time spent on repairs and expenses for parts
- Assisting with phone calls concerning auto & tire service
- Ordering and invoicing tires, parts, and labor while working with the technicians
- Good customer service skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work without direct supervision
- Phone skills and customer service relations
- Tire knowledge is a plus
- Achieving 100% customer satisfaction
Knowledge/ Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license and meet company driving record guidelines
- Sales experience in the tire industry preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
