Job: Warehouse SupervisorLocation: 112 Corporation Drive, Oxford, North Carolina, USA 27565Summary Description: Lead warehouse team by managing all elements of inventory, receiving and shipping, while working closely with Operations Leadership to make sure all functions of the warehouse are completed.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Must lead by example and be ready to dive in and get hands-on to ensure the work gets completed.Roles Receive and manage inventory of all products and packaging. Organize, rotate, maintain and verify existing inventory. Complete physical inventory counts 1-2 times per year. Manage and assign warehouse associates to meet company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met. Responsibilities include loading and unloading, forklift operation, product relocation, etc.Launch, implement and maintain warehouse operating and scanning system and handheld scan guns. Choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via scanning system. Must have solid knowledge of how to implement and use scanning systems.Point of contact with replenishment and customer service to track reviewing and shipping of orders. Communicate to department leadership if product is damaged, inventory is low, count is off, etc.Responsible and performance tracking for fill rate. Safely operate manual or ride-on pallet jacks and forklifts. Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheetPick and manage palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment.Pick and deliver product to the production floor as dictated by the schedule of releases.Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities, types of products to be shipped, and the location of requested items in the warehouse.Label materials/pallets for shipping using scanning equipment to document and verify counts of picked items; otherwise, ensure all palletized stock is securely wrapped before placement on racks or transporting through the warehouseMonitor battery charge and leave material handling equipment at the designated storage area; may need to maintain. and clean batteries, depending on the site.Help clean and organize the warehouse at the end or throughout the shift.Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.2 years, supervisory experience in a warehouse environment/inventory control/shipping in a food environment.Experience operating ride-on pallet jacks & forklifts.Experience implementing and working with scan gun systems,Experience training warehouse staff.Must be able to effectively communicate with groups of employees across the organization. Both clear written and verbal communication a must.Must be able to work a full day in cold temperature (freezer is -18°C or 0°F).Ability to read labels and associated documents.Working knowledge of Food Plant Sanitation, Pest Control, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).Experience in Health & Safety training.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Bi-Lingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.Responsibilities & Duties: Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds.Work up to a 10-hour workday, Monday-Friday, weekends when needed.Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.Location:Oxford, NC 27565
