Job description
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee operations and workers.
The manager will be responsible for assisting the manager with all day to day operations and the profitability of the restaurant.

Responsibilities
- Control food cost
- Assist in creating employee schedules
- Count and record inventory
- Maintain a working relationship with vendors
- Assist in placing orders and ensure deliveries are accurate
- Provide direction and feedback to workers
- Assign employees to positions and assign duties
- Handle last-minute absences
- Assist in training and coaching new employees
- Inspect equipment and schedule necessary repairs and maintenance
- Check cash drawers and prepare bank deposits
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed
- Address customer and employee complaints
- Resolve conflicts between workers
- Foster and maintain a positive work environment
- Requirements
- Professional demeanor
- Servsafe manager certification
- Proven experience as a assistant restaurant manager or relevant managerial role
- Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations
- Commitment to excellent service
- Working well within a team
- Leadership skills and ability to make decisions fast
- Strong problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to stand for long periods
- High school diploma is preferred
- Ability to work 30-45 hours a week
This is full time position. Weekends are required.
