Scientist II

Duties :

• Design, plan and execute experiments in a timely and independent manner leveraging scientific and technical expertise to achieve defined objectives.
• Independently initiate and complete routine in vivo study duties such as dosing by standard routes, identification, health monitoring and sample collection as well as tissue processing.
• Initiate and carry out assay development, optimization and validation as required. Utilize molecular techniques, tissue immunostaining and multi-color flow cytometry to aid in the understanding of drug mode of action.
• Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment. Ordering of laboratory consumables to ensure continuous supplies.
• Work well in a highly matrixed environment and support multiple projects at the same time. Work independently with the capability to troubleshoot experimental procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel. Communicate own work effectively orally and in writing (writing protocols, procedures, and lab notebook).
• Report and treat data with a high level of integrity and ethics. Comply with applicable regulations, performing all work in a safe manner and maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.

Education : Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with three-plus (3 ) years of experience in related scientific discipline or Master's Degree from an accredited institution in related scientific discipline or equivalent experience in related field.
