Senior Manager, SOX 404

Job Summary: The Senior Manager, SOX 404 Compliance will lead the execution of the global SOX compliance program, ensuring that internal controls over financial reporting meet Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This role will involve overseeing SOX control documentation and testing, collaborating with various internal and external teams, and managing remediation efforts for control deviations. The Senior Manager will also support continuous improvement initiatives within the Internal Controls team, partnering with business and IT functions to ensure alignment with evolving compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the execution of SOX 404 compliance activities, including risk assessments, scoping, documentation, walkthroughs, and control testing.
• Work closely with IT, business stakeholders, external auditors, and outsourced service providers to ensure SOX documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Manage audit work performed by outsourced service providers and external auditors, ensuring support documentation is provided, control deviations are evaluated, and timely resolutions are implemented.
• Contribute to the development and enforcement of operational procedures arising from new systems, risks, or regulatory requirements.
• Work with business and IT teams to identify, recommend, and implement improvements to internal controls and present findings to the Internal Controls Team.
• Oversee and manage the SOX compliance management tool to track and monitor compliance activities.
• Provide support for special projects within the SOX 404 compliance engagement as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 8-10 years in SOX 404 compliance, internal auditing, or related fields, with proven experience in engagement management for SOX 404 audits.
• CIA, CISA, CPA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or HFM.
