The ideal candidate will play a crucial role within our established team, contributing to in vitro metabolism assays, metabolite identification studies, and bioanalytical work to evaluate chemical entities for new drug candidates. This is an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with a core discovery group within a successful biopharmaceutical company and contribute to advancing drug development from early concepts to clinical trials.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various in vitro metabolism studies to address specific DMPK questions in the context of drug discovery.
- Develop and validate analytical methods using mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for the detection and separation of small molecules and peptides.
- Prepare and deliver scientific presentations and reports to communicate research findings to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Influence discovery decisions by providing valuable insights and contributing significantly to corporate goals and project milestones.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant scientific literature and evaluate its implications for internal projects, ensuring the team remains informed about advances in the field.
- Take responsibility for the maintenance of laboratory equipment, facilitating its use by other team members, and ensuring accurate and detailed experimental records.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and perform other duties as assigned.
