Job Title: Senior Research Associate – Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Research Associate to join our Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) team. This is a critical role within our core drug discovery group, providing a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the development of new drug candidates. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a highly skilled and cross-functional team, performing in vitro metabolism assays, metabolite identification studies, and LC-MS/MS-based bioanalysis to evaluate the pharmacokinetic properties of novel chemical entities.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute in vitro metabolism studies to support DMPK profiling and address key questions in drug discovery.
Develop and validate analytical methods using LC-MS/MS for the separation, detection, and quantification of small molecules and peptides.
Perform sample preparation and bioanalysis for both in vitro and in vivo ADME/PK studies.
Conduct metabolite identification and profiling using liver subcellular fractions and other biological matrices.
Present scientific findings through presentations and detailed reports to internal teams and stakeholders.
Contribute to project milestones and influence early-stage drug discovery decisions.
Stay current with relevant scientific literature and apply findings to internal research efforts.
Maintain laboratory instruments (especially LC-MS/MS), ensuring they are operational and accessible to the team.
Keep accurate and thorough experimental records in accordance with scientific and regulatory standards.
Perform additional duties and contribute to cross-functional initiatives as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field with 5 years of hands-on DMPK lab experience; OR
Master’s degree in a relevant field with 2 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience with LC-MS/MS-based sample analysis, particularly in metabolic stability, CYP inhibition, and metabolite ID studies.
Hands-on experience with sample preparation and bioanalysis in support of preclinical ADME/PK studies.
Strong preference for candidates with expertise in Sciex instrumentation and method troubleshooting.
Demonstrated ability to independently plan, execute, and troubleshoot complex experiments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative and adaptable approach.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced and team-driven environment.
