Associate Director, Marketing (Biotech Industry)
Location : Redwood City CA (4x onsite, 1x remote per week)
Our biotech client is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Marketing with at least 10 years of experience and a strong expertise in downstream marketing to lead the development and execution of strategic marketing efforts aimed at the biopharma and academic sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics within the sector. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and research, to drive demand and position our products and services. This position will focus on downstream activities such as product launches, market penetration, customer engagement, and brand development.
Responsibilities & Goals
- Campaign Execution
Lead the creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns (including digital, content marketing, trade shows, and webinars) to drive demand and increase brand awareness within the target vertical.
Develop and execute tailored marketing plans to engage key customer segments within biotech, including researchers, biopharma companies, and academic institutions.
Lead the development of marketing strategies and vertical-specific campaigns, leveraging market insights, customer data, and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and messaging.
Spearhead comprehensive product launch strategies, with an emphasis on downstream marketing, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure successful market introduction.
Partner with the sales team to create effective go-to-market strategies, sales enablement tools, and customer engagement initiatives that align with marketing objectives.
Guide the creation of impactful content, including white papers, case studies, and presentations, that resonate with the target audience and address their specific needs.
Manage the marketing budget for biotech-specific campaigns, ensuring efficient resource allocation and achievement of ROI goals.
Track, measure, and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to continuously optimize campaigns.
Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, industry associations, and other stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and establish thought leadership in the biotech space.
