B.S. (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
Ability to foster a creative engineering environment
Strong communication skills, (both written and verbal)
Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the mechanical engineering discipline
Ability and desire to obtain professional registration (EIT and PE)
Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
Responsibilities
As our new mechanical engineer, you will be part of a dynamic and engaging group of experienced engineers supporting clients and projects in multiple markets with a continuous goal of client satisfaction and professional growth
Performing design work in various areas of the mechanical discipline; range from industrial piping, to HVAC systems, plumbing, central utility plants, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, steam systems, district heating, and combined heat and power systems
Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to produce final construction drawings and details associated with mechanical engineering projects
Creating design drawings utilizing 3D design software (Revit and / or CADWorx)
Review the schedule and cost of the projects under their supervision
Maintain the cost of projects under direct supervision within the stated budgets
Prepare work necessary to complete contract documents (plans & specifications) for all work on which bids are to be taken
Cooperate and communicate with other engineers, designers, and drafters assigned to the various phases of the project
Perform detailed checking of work performed under his or her direct supervision
Undertake research, investigation, writing and editing of reports
