Meeting Street is currently looking for a Learning Support Specialist for 25 hours per week.
Duties:
Implement an academic support program for students in grades K-8. Focus will be on study skills, executive functioning training, and content-driven work.
Provide intervention and remediation for students in need of academic support.
Support teachers in implementing necessary accommodations and differentiated instruction.
Work with students, families, and outside professionals to better support the needs of our students.
Work 1:1 with students to develop study skills taught in the context of a student’s coursework that addresses a student’s learning needs and leads to independence.
Interpret evaluations, write learning profiles, and oversee the implementation of recommendations and accommodations for students with a diagnosed learning difference.
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials that consistently contain diverse content throughout the academic year.
