Summary: The Shipping and Logistics Specialist manages materials, parts, and assemblies through shipping operations. Additionally, this position may be asked to expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, and compiles and maintains manual or computerized records. This position is also responsible for material handling within the facility including moving parts, sub-assemblies, and finished goods to proper locations. They will support the warehouse with receiving products into stock and delivering products to the production floor as well as support inbound shipments.
The position also includes material handling, responsible for shipping products using equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, pallet jack dollies and company vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage order fulfillment for small parcels, LTL, and freight forwarder shipments.
- Provide fast and accurate processing of all material according to shipping policies and procedures
- Maintain timely, effective, and professional communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers
- Prepare shipping documents for LTL shipments such as bills of ladings, and shipping labels and photos
- Upload appropriate shipping documents for all shipments to corresponding sales orders, transfer orders, or any outbound shipping orders
- Reviews all international shipment documentation to ensure it is compliant with applicable standards
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipping logistics for cargo transportation carriers and shipping companies
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound inter-company transfer orders with other Kinetics locations to ensure smooth handoffs and receiving
- Process orders including accurate checking, sorting, and consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, loading, and unloading shipments of customer orders
- Ensure document control BOL, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, and waybill accompany shipments
- Pull and process orders for shipment using FedEx, UPS, and independent carriers
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in record keeping, filing and other administrative duties as required
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks for incoming materials, restock inventory and outgoing shipments of finished products
- Assist quality in visual inspection of incoming materials to ensure they are free of damage.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report all violations and accidents to a manager or supervisor
- Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean

- 1 years inventory control experience preferred
- Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus
Physical Job Requirements:
- The Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work.
- Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment
Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, photocopiers, and operates forklifts,
pallet jacks and company vehicles.
