What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Porter-Showroom/Warehouse position at MEGA FURNITURE?
*Job Responsibilities
*
- Janitorial (50%) Perform general maintenance duties throughout the showroom on a daily basis including but not limited to: cleaning bathrooms, cleaning break room, dusting & vacuuming showroom areas, mopping all hard surfaces throughout showroom, emptying trash, ensuring outside of building is well kept
- Receive Trucks (30%) Assist with customer pickups, clean/organize dock, pull sold clearance merchandise from the floor, assemble floor merchandise, assemble customer merchandise
- Assist Store manager with showroom floor moves & special projects (20%)
Qualifications
Minimum requirement: High School Graduate or High School Equivalency
- Must be able to lift, lower, push, or pull furniture up to 50lbs., and in excess of 100 lbs. (with assistance if needed)
- Possess a clean, neat, & professional appearance while having a pleasant demeanor
- Ability to work independently; self-motivated
- Attention to detail and solid time management skills
- Mechanically inclined & able to assemble furniture using small hand tools
