Construction Delivery Driver

Job Overview:

We are looking for a dependable Delivery Driver to transport materials, tools, and equipment between our shop and job sites. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, reliable, hardworking, will pay attention to details and is capable of handling deliveries in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles, including flatbeds, pickup trucks, and box trucks, to deliver construction materials and equipment
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to job sites
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Assist in maintaining delivery logs, receipts, and other required documentation
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Communicate with the shop and field foreman to coordinate deliveries

Requirements:

• Valid Connecticut driver’s license
• Must possess a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card or be able to meetDOT medical requirements to obtain one
• Clean driving record with experience operating delivery vehicles
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50 lbs.)
• Familiarity with construction materials and tools is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
• Must be dependable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
