LTL Operations Internship - Summer 2025

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Develops LTL account operation skills by assisting LTL Logistics Manager in managing his/her business.
  
  
  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists LTL Logistics Manager in servicing his/her business, including but not limited to development of the following:
• Relationships with carriers and skills in evaluating and selecting carriers.
• Skills in use of company’s TAI LTL software.
• Assists with all day-to-day LTL responsibilities including, but not limited to dispatching carriers, tracking LTL loads, uploading carrier bills and documents in TAI.
• Assists in monitoring progress of LTL loads, maintains awareness of potential in-transit issues, such as weather problems, and act in advance where possible to ensure timely delivery while managing costs.
• Assists in analyzing and resolving in-transit issues, taking client satisfaction and costs into consideration in determining best solution; consults with client and assists in recommending solution as appropriate.
• Assists in ensuring all fiduciary responsibilities are met and that all fees and costs are documented for each LTL shipment.
• Assists in organizing present claims and updating clients as needed on the progress.
• Acts as a liaison for AP/AR issues/resolutions and claims with clients.
• Assists in resolving client claims and receivables issues.
• Accurately enter and maintain up-to-date information on company software.
• Assists Resolution Team as needed with disputed shipments.

Pay Range

Intern Pay Range - Hourly Position

$15 — $15 USD
