PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS: Develop winning consumer products by designing and developing products from concept through commercialization. The scientist will partner with marketing/brand and other cross-functional teams to launch products for Megafood in the VMS space.

Annual Pay Range
$69,700.00 - $104,550.00
(This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role. Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Develop and launch products from bench scale through commercialization
- Assumes personal responsibility and ownership for team goals and priorities
- Develop appropriate experimental designs
- Make recommendations based on results
- Set up proper stability studies
- Set up proper sensory studies
- Utilizes proper sensory protocols to ensure consumer-centric product is launched
- Properly communicate project details and experimental designs to R&D Teammates
- Be able to translate results into action for cross-functional teams
- Provides for the development of new products as guided by development pipelines, timelines, and project details to maintain and build MegaFood’s competitive advantage
- Be able to utilize Product Vision software
- Be able to support production runs at Manufacturing sites
- Support Contractual Paperwork like NDA’s, MSA’s, and other contracts for R&D
- Should be able to own the R&D piece of the Project timeline and properly communicate it to the project team
- Master’s Degree in a scientific capacity preferred (Food Science preferred)
- 5-7 years in CPG or B2B space. VMS experience is preferred but F&B and/or Pharma will be considered
- Knowledgeable in Product Development of Food and Beverage, Dietary Supplements, and/or Pharmaceutical products
- Knowledgeable in Sensorial Tests appropriate for Product Launches
- Knowledgeable in Stage Gate Processes
- Experienced in a lab environment
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience in CPG or business-to-business (B2B) companies
