Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Megaplex Logistics, LLC; 1401 Highway 13 North, Columbia, Ms 39429
Department: Warehouse
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our warehouse distribution center. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient workflow, maintain safety standards, and lead a team of warehouse staff to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Lead and train warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork: 4 Forklift Operators and 1 Shipping Clerk.
- Monitor and optimize productivity, ensuring that targets are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage inventory control processes, including stock counts and reorder levels.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of warehouse operations, including shipments, receipts, and inventory levels.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, shipments, or inventory.
- Implement and maintain best practices for warehouse operations and logistics.
- Manage cleanliness and organization in the warehouse area.
- Participate in training sessions and safety meetings as required.
- Work with off-site management company and use their SAP ERP system, Zebra handguns, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Microsoft applications. Training will be provided.
- Standard hours: Mon-Fri 7-4:30, overtime as needed but it is unusual.
- Run a shrink wrapper.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field is a plus.
- Previous capacity or willing to learn warehouse management systems and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy items and willing to learn how to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink wrapper).
