The Project Manager is responsible for administrative duties associated with projects, materials releases, vendor follow-up, coding invoices for A/P, routing correspondence, field dimensions, change orders, submittals, and labor and delivery schedules. Projects can range from several small to medium projects or one very large project. The position proactively develops new business opportunities and relationships with current and potential customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, preparation, and finalization of the project schedule.
- Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and standards, and acts as a department representative on committees and professional organizations.
- Establish budgets, progress billing, change order management, and progress billing with vendors and clients and prepare cost reporting.
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Publish detailed meeting minutes to the entire team.
- Maintain a current log and repository for construction documentation such as: drawings, submittals, customer standards documentation, and engineering specifications.
- Other duties and projects as assigned and needed.
- Proven experience mentoring and managing others.
- Business development/heavy client interaction a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Accubid preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
- Minimum 3-6 years experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction. or a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
- PE license a plus
- OSHA 30 and CPR training preferred.
- Data Center experience a plus

Salary : $140,000 - $180,000
