We produce metal castings for grinding media, mill liners, crushing liners, and slag pots with optimal designs and alloys specifically developed for the global mining, aggregate, and recycle industries. ABOUT THE ROLE . . .
The Supplier Quality Engineer for mining equipment oversees all quality control activities of the commercial product sales team suppliers. The Quality Engineer is as a critical link between operations, procurement, logistic, and supplier for quality related topics. This is a multi-disciplined position involving quality, technical production knowledge, welding , casting and NDT expertise . Aim of the position is improve quality, develop technical and quality expertise of the suppliers also aim to have highest quality product as per ME Specification. This position will interact with both internal and external customers. It requires strong understanding of the diverse customer, supplier base, as well as their products and processes. An effective communication style and awareness of the organization’s business climate is essential. A sense of urgency and strong problem-solving skills are critical.
Principal Accountabilities :
- Work with quality and production teams of suppliers to have the best quality product per ME Spec.
- Create ITP and all necessary documents for the suppliers for proper inspection / production process.
- Follow logistic price levels and trends, create savings from logistic with the best transport solution.
- Assess processes / suppliers and suggest how to continuously improve supplier quality system.
- Represent company ensuring timely communication with customers and suppliers.
- Support procurement and logistic teams with status update and support on time delivery initiatives.
- Manage and follow supplier development and improvement plans.
- Support the suppliers at technical topics and follow ups.
- Follow NCR s and deviations with suppliers and internally.
- Be a critical part of ME Supply Chain team to execute the projects and orders at the suppliers.
- Support the sourcing initiatives and new supplier, product development activities.
- Audit and support the suppliers.
