Job Summary
Mehaffey's Jewelry offers a full line of fine jewelry as well as an extensive collection of estate pieces. We are a family owned business since 1946, with strong family values. As an employee in our store you would be expected to offer a "world class" customer experience by treating each guest as family. In addition you would be responsible for “working the sales floor”, greeting each guest as they come in the door, demonstrating excellent presentation skills, asking effective probing questions, and showing good closing skills.
Having advanced GIA diamond selling skills is a definite advantage.
Other responsibilities would include: opening and closing store activities; to include daily cash reconciliation, security policies, inventory control and adhering to associated inventory policies, complying with retail schedules, maintaining all established store standards, and assisting in the facilitation of events and promotions.
Everyone at Mehaffey's will conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with the integrity, ethics, conduct, and dress code that is required by Mehaffey's. Other ongoing education as dictated by need will be required.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven track record in achieving strong personal and team sales results
- Able to work extended seasonal retail hours in December
- Strong communication skills / bilingual is an advantage
- Able to learn a new point-of-sale system; good computer skills, and good email skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- High School Diploma
