What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Support Specialist position at Meharry Medical College?
This position works under the supervision of the Division Administrator of Institutional Advancement, to perform confidential and detailed administrative duties, clerical support tasks requiring basic knowledge of office systems and procedures; processes files and records; performs upon request with direction, other duties as assigned.

- Provide support to the Sr. Vice President for the 150th (Sesquicentennial) Anniversary, the Campaign Director for City Leadership tours and Campaign 150 meetings and events
- Performs high level confidential administrative duties and delegated duties in support of the Division Administrator. Answers the main office phone line, routes calls, takes messages and responds to inquiries.
- Assists with bulk mailings
- Serves as office point of contact at the front desk. Works with the Executive Assistant on behalf of the Sr. Vice President
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Ability to perform basic numerical calculations
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to maintain records and a filing system
- Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent, is required
- Two years of relevant experience, or the equivalent, is required
