This is a civilian position responsible for offering a varied curriculum of programs and services to the offenders.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position will be responsible for responding to offender request forms promptly; assessing offender eligibility for programs; preparing and updating attendance sheets & schedules for all programs; providing program statistics weekly; coordinating specific program needs with instructors & volunteers ensuring they have necessary class supplies; allocating & recording expenses to appropriate program funds to include timesheets for instructors; determining the needs of the programs; evaluating program outcomes and researching future program possibilities for the offenders; supervising & directing offender librarian in daily operations; categorizing & logging all books into computer, along with conducting library services for offenders; assessing & processing volunteer applications to include evaluating for approval, orientation, and reviewing policy and procedures with volunteers; providing clerical services for offenders such as notary & photocopies; conducting TABE testing and assisting qualified offenders with the GED Academy; and other duties as assigned.
