Collections Representative (Auto) - Call Center

MEI Finance is searching for a Collection Representative for our corporate office and the position is responsible for initiating calls to delinquent customers to collect past-due payments and provide excellent customer service to our MEI Finance customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service via phone, focusing on first-contact resolution.
• Responsible for monitoring, managing, and maintaining assigned accounts.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Effectively negotiate payment arrangements on delinquent loans
• Utilization of probing questions and clear documentation
• Ensuring all demographics submitted on accounts are correct and updated.
• Meet collection goals, including delinquency and cash collections.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer.
• Use office equipment and machinery effectively.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of collections experience is a requirement for this position. (Preferred Auto Collections)
• 2 years of previous experience in a fast-paced administrative/clerical role
• 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Strong time-management skills; ability to organize and prioritize quickly, accurately, and effectively; and to adjust to changes efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to work well both independently and within a team.

• Day shift

Compensation: $17.00 per hour, plus weekly cash incentives.
