What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver/Rigger position at MEI Rigging & Crating?
MEI's CDL Drivers are a part of a rigging crew responsible for driving equipment to customer sites and working with heavy equipment at customer plants and construction sites.
- Routinely hauls oversize / overweight loads.
- Drives safely and under DOT regulations tractor & trailer rigs to transport equipment and crews to job sites.
- Requires safe handling of loads, securement of loads, loading and unloading of equipment.
- Dismantles and store rigging equipment after use.
- Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment - Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, tractor trailers, telehandlers, aerial boom lifts, etc.
- Basic knowledge of operating equipment (Forklifts, man lifts, mobile platform lifts, etc.)
- Experienced knowledge of load securing and safe hauling practices
- Ability to use tape measure; hand, power and pneumatic tools.
