As MEI USA continues to evolve and grow our business across North America, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an IT Support Technician. You will report to our President and will provide hands-on technical assistance to end-users and support the IT Operations Leader with daily tasks and special projects, including an upcoming office relocation. IT Support Technician Responsibilities :
- Provide first-level technical support for employees' hardware and software issues
- Set up and configure new workstations, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Assist with printer maintenance, troubleshooting, and support
- Help maintain inventory of IT assets and supplies
- Support user account management and essential access services
- Assist with office equipment relocation and setup during upcoming move
- Document common issues and solutions in the knowledge base
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment
- Shadow senior IT staff to learn more advanced skills Benefits : Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30am – 5pm. Starting pay between $27.67 - $37.47 per hour. We offer competitive base pay and overtime. Generous paid time off. 401(k) with company match up to 4% after 1 year of employment. Health, dental and vision insurance. - Technical education or 1-2 years of IT support experience
- Understanding of Windows operating systems and Office applications
- Familiarity with common hardware components and peripherals
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
- Ability to follow established procedures and documentation
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills Preferred Qualifications
- Basic experience with ticketing systems and request management tools
- Familiarity with mobile device setup and configuration (Android / iOS)
- Demonstrated interest in IT through personal projects or self-study
- Ability to document problems and solutions
- Understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, LAN, Wi-Fi)
- Familiarity with fundamental cybersecurity best practices
- Interest in learning virtualization technologies and advanced IT infrastructure."
