Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated licensed Mental Health Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our 300 employees and their families on personal matters and promoting their overall well-being. This position is new and we are looking for someone who is interested in expanding their own practice.
Position Purpose:
- A Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) provides individual and group therapy to clients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Utilizing various counseling techniques to assess the needs of clients.
- Develop treatment plans.
- Guide clients towards improved emotional well-being by addressing issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship conflicts, and substance abuse.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines within their state's licensing regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to provide comprehensive care.
Job Requirements:
Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- State-issued Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license.
- Completion of supervised clinical hours.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and approaches.
What You’ll Do:
- Client assessment: Conducting initial evaluations to gather comprehensive information about a client's mental health needs, including presenting issues, history, and current life circumstances.
- Treatment planning: Developing individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on client assessments, utilizing appropriate therapeutic interventions like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, or solution-focused brief counseling.
- Therapy sessions: Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions to provide a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, working towards achieving treatment goals.
- Crisis intervention: Responding to urgent situations requiring immediate support and providing crisis management techniques.
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed clinical records of client sessions, including progress notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, and relevant communications.
- Collaboration: Consulting with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, primary care physicians, or social workers, to coordinate client care.
- Ethical practice: Adhering to professional ethical standards set by the licensing board, including confidentiality, informed consent, and appropriate boundaries
