Job Summary :
The Mechanical / Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for creating and managing engineering projects, drawings and bill of materials to meet project specifications and industry standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Review customer specifications to understand project requirements.
- Make / revise cost calculation sheet for Change Orders.
- Create project submittals, including drawings and bill of materials.
- Ensure project submittals are accurate and timely.
- Support Procurement and Quality with supplier selection.
- Provide efficient and effective design solutions for Production.
- Support other departments as needed.
- Define, measure, and improve process quality and efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement and cost efforts.
- Ensure assigned projects come in or under planned budget.
