We are currently hiring Online Vehicle Buyer to supply inventory for our Dealerships in the DFW area. If you’re a self-sufficient, independent, focused analytical professional this may be the position for you. This position will replenish inventory necessary to supply our growing sales volume through purchases at wholesale auctions throughout the nation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to search for vehicles online that meets Automax criteria prior to the auction.
- Determine valuation.
- Analyze auction condition reports.
- Review vehicle history reports.
- Buy cars from the auctions as needed and instructed by the Inventory Director.
- Responsible for arranging timely shipping of vehicles purchased from origin to dealership
- Physically inspect vehicles delivered to insure the vehicle was represented properly when purchased.
- Responsible for timely arbitrating vehicles with auctions.
- Responsible for arbitration units until the company is reimbursed.
- Email approved and signed bill of sale for each car to the corporate office’s designated
individual within 24 hours of purchase. - Handling all IF bids, PSIs and arbitrations with auctions.
- Wholesale any vehicle purchased that is determined to not meet the Automax standard.
- Compliance with Automax buying procedures and strictly buy as instructed and do not buy from any source unless approved by Automax

- Perform other tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Require 3 years of automotive experience.
- 2 years of online vehicle buying experience, ideally for a franchised dealer, national group, or as an independent wholesaler.
- Experience as an automotive buyer is required with a solid knowledge of inventory acquisition operations.
- Solid understanding of the retail and wholesale automobile sales processes.
- Excellent analytical and valuation skills with a strong process orientation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment with a high level of self-motivation.
- Web-based search applications and technology experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online vehicle buying tools is a must.
- Clean motor vehicle and criminal background records.
- Valid Driver’s License.
