What are the responsibilities and job description for the Verification Clerk position at MeiGroup?
MEI Auto Finance is looking for an entry-level to mid-level Verification Clerk to join our winning team. The Auto Loan Verification Clerk is responsible for contacting customers regarding their new auto loan and discussing payments, payment dates, insurance, and warranty policies. In addition, the Verification Clerk is responsible for reviewing the new loan file verifying that the Contact Information and new loan file match the database, and preparing the file for Title. The Verification clerk will spend 75% of the time on the phone with customers, and 25% of the time on file verification. The ideal candidate is comfortable on the phone with all personalities and is quick to learn their way around a computer database and auto paperwork. Prior Auto Loan experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Outbound/inbound calls to/from current customers.
- Notate customer accounts/records with updated insurance policy info, address, and payment information.
- Review the Auto Loan file for accuracy of names, addresses, and terms.
- Excellent customer service skills, follow-up skills, and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time effectively/efficiently.
- Data Entry.
- Scanning.
- Some Excel or Google Sheets.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Other duties as assigned.
