About the Role
We are looking to add another skilled Settlement Distribution Coordinator to join our growing Finance team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with the skills and knowledge to help handle the many distributions of the firm. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented junior finance professional to contribute to the growth and success of our firm.
You Will:
- Manage and coordinate the distribution of settlement funds to clients and other involved parties
- Review settlement agreements and confirm accurate disbursement amounts based on client agreements
- Maintain detailed records of all disbursements and ensure they are properly documented in the firm’s system
- Communicate with clients to ensure they understand the disbursement process and provide updates as needed
- Collaborate with the settlement team and attorneys to obtain required signatures, releases, and other necessary documentation
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, financial, and ethical standards during the disbursement process
- Assist with creating and managing disbursement journals and other related records
- Troubleshoot any issues related to the distribution of settlement funds.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Prior experience in a legal or settlement coordination role, particularly within a law firm
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with settlement processes, client disbursements, and legal compliance
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex processes to clients
- Proficiency in using legal and accounting software to manage disbursements and records
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
