Role Description
The ideal candidate to join our firm will possess a minimum of five plus years of experience representing businesses and insurers in matters that include business disputes and complex insurance coverage issues.
This is a on-site role located in Milwaukee, WI. The Attorney - Litigation (Insurance Defense) will be responsible for analyzing legal and factual issues, conducting extensive legal research, and independently developing defense strategies on behalf of clients, including preparing complex pleadings and written discovery, conducting depositions, and writing motions and briefs in support of defense strategies. Additionally, this role will assist senior attorneys with complex litigation and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Insurance Coverage and Defense Law
- Experience providing legal advice and conducting legal research
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions to complex legal matters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and current admission to the Wisconsin Bar or ability to be admitted in Wisconsin through reciprocity
- 5-10 years of post-JD legal experience is required
- Strong academic record and demonstrated work ethic
