How you will make an impact:
The Manager of Sterile Processing is responsible for the management of the product treatment facility in Athens, GA ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective receiving, storage, processing, and shipment of treated goods throughout the world. They will be responsible for both leadership of the team and management of the facility that accomplishes this. Ensures high levels of customer service by working with other suppliers, carriers, and Meissner facilities. Maintains appropriate inventory record keeping and data management systems as needed to accommodate Corporate, Regulatory, and Governmental requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring industry experience with being a change-agent, implementing automation, efficient material flow and process standardization. In this role, they will play a critical and leading role on the global team that will establish an optimized Meissner distribution network with respect to footprint, time-to-serve and best practices. This role will be a key member of the global operations team - working with Customer-facing teams on key initiatives such as shipment visibility, technology selection & implementation and process integration.
- Supervise and coordinate the Sterile Processing team in day-to-day operations, lead training efforts and ensure policy implementation.
- Mentor staff while ensuring goals are met by managing workflow, scheduling, and productivity.
- Responsible for the coordination and overall management, logistics, and on-time delivery of the material and component flow to support daily post-production schedules.
- Monitors product treatment quality and ensures that company standards are met.
- Ensures processes are followed by all Sterile Processing team members for compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Ensures Operationalization activities are completed on time including:
- IQ / OQ / PQ protocols
- Appropriate staffing is onboarded with appropriate training
This is an on-site role based out of our Athens, GA facility.
The skills and experience youll need:
- Bachelors Degree in Business or Operations/Supply Chain related discipline.
- Active certification in sterile processing/central sterile via CBSPD or IAHCSMM required. (If not certified at point of hire, it must be obtained within 12 months of hire.)
- 7 years experience in warehousing, domestic transportation, shipping/receiving or other operations/supply chain function required.
- 5 years supervisory or management experience required.
- Ability and appropriate clearance to travel domestically and internationally.
- Business Acumen. Experience with and ability to understand company financials, department cost structures, budgets, and operating costs.
