Data Science Intern
Summary:
The Data Science Intern is an excellent opportunity to develop modeling and analysis skills while working in a dynamic team to drive thoughtful insights to the firm’s institutional clients and internal consultants. The Intern will assist the Research team in exploratory data analysis, data cleaning, and statistical/predictive modeling. You will have strong problem solving skills and are comfortable developing tools end to end. Furthermore, you have a keen interest in developing quantitative models, owning your work, and demonstrating data science techniques to reach conclusions to sophisticated financial problems.
Responsibilities:
· Work alongside the Research team to improve and develop models as needed.
- Leverage Machine Learning for high stakes, client related use cases.
- Actively improve and develop data science tools.
- Automate new and existing processes.
Required Skills, Experience, Knowledge:
- Progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a quantitative program.
- Strong quantitative methods focus with understanding of financial concepts.
- Ability to communicate technical information at an audience appropriate level.
- Experience using Python for statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of applied machine learning and the underlying math concepts.
- Understanding of regression modeling, forecasting methods, and time series analysis.
- Facility with Microsoft Excel and Word, or equivalent.
