Job Summary:
The Continental Breakfast Attendant your duties include handling the setup and breakdown of the breakfast buffet, maintaining the dining area, ensuring food is available, tracking residents served, and providing any additional guest services. Always aware of resident’s satisfaction to deliver the perfect service experience. Ensure high quality of food and beverages to residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up all food and beverages for breakfast
- Make sure fresh coffee is available at all times.
- Make fresh coffee before you leave at 10am.
- Restock/Refill all needed silverware, napkins and coffee cups & lids
- Wipe out all drawers every day.
- Wipe out microwave as needed and leaving clean every day at the end of your shift.
- Wipe out till clean reach in low boy refrigerator every day
- Shift is 5:45am to 10am. To work something different, get supervisor’s approval
- Clean up spilled food or drink
- Maintain adequate supplies of items, tea, disposables, sweetener’s, brewed coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, and whatever else that is normally stocked for continental breakfast.
- Provide an excellent overall dining experience for our guests.
- Active listening and effective communication skills.
- Report to work on time and in proper uniform with name tag.
- Make sure all equipment is in good working order, report broken equipment immediately to manager for repair.
- Be able to work all holidays and scheduled parties after normal hours of operation.
- Must complete all assigned Relias training on a timely manner and at anniversary every year thereafter.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dining Room Manager and/or Director.
- Communicate with Supervisors by providing information via in written form or in person.
- Actively looking for ways to help people.
- Adjusting own actions in relation to other’s actions.
- Giving full attention to what residents are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with everyone
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within supervision.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- The physical ability to stand and or walk continuously.
- The physical ability to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
- Must be able to lift and carry up heavy trays up to 20 pounds.
