Job Title: Logistics and Quality Control Coordinator Department: Shipping and Receiving

Reports to: President Job Type: Full-time

FLSA: Non-exempt Shift: Days

Job Summary

The Logistics and Quality Control Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials, efficient inventory management, and adherence to quality standards. As we are a rapidly growing, we value self-starters who thrive in a challenging and exciting work environment.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain a well-organized system for storing and locating machine components and raw materials.
  • Receive, inspect, and meticulously document incoming materials.
  • Manage lot number tracking system to ensure complete traceability.
  • Verify that inventory is accurately assigned to specific work orders.
  • Procure Production and Office supplies.

Logistics and Shipping:

  • Coordinate the outbound shipment of parts to customers and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Improve and manage Kanban system for readily available COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) parts.
  • Reconciling packing slips, orders, and invoice approvals with documentation

Quality Control:

  • Conduct thorough audits of inventory and processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute quality inspection procedures, documenting the results in detailed reports.
  • Train and support production team members on quality systems, policies, procedures, and core quality processes.
  • Proactively identify potential quality control issues and collaborate with management to implement preventative measures.
  • Ensure all test equipment is properly calibrated and functions effectively.
  • Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and verify the segregation of non-compliant materials.
  • Regularly review and update established quality procedures with management, adhering to the latest revisions.
  • Maintain a keen eye for ensuring production efficiency is not compromised by quality control measures.
  • Maintain Approved Supplier lists.

Workplace Organization and Safety:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles and lean manufacturing standards.
  • Prioritize safety by upholding established safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment with evolving priorities
  • Ability to thrive in both collaborative and independent work settings.
  • Proven ability to manage and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid Driver’s License with Good Driving Record

Preferred Skills:

  • Forklift certification and experience.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting
  • Previous ERP knowledge and experience
  • Previous experience with ISO 9001-2015 environment.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, and hear. The employee occasionally is required to stand, climb, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or push/pull up to 40 pounds.
