What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Security Analyst position at Mele Accociates?
The primary purpose of this position is to provide program management, international engagement, and intelligence and threat assessment support to NA-82 for the DOE / NNSA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Communicate with internal / external partners on multiple classified systems.
- Read, write and edit inputs to NA-82 and national laboratory reports.
- Provide project support to NA-82 Applications Division on intelligence and threat assessment projects.
- Liaise and maintain relationships with NA-82 external partners—such as the IC, DOJ / FBI, DOE / NNSA partner offices, and international partners—on nuclear threat reduction, nuclear security, and intelligence and threat assessment engagements
- Provide management support to NA-82 intelligence and threat assessment projects and analysis at the national laboratories pertaining to emerging technologies and open-source information; Action tracking / laboratory task management.
- Review, edit, and provide feedback on Applications Division products developed by the labs
- Develop scope / priorities for meetings, strategic plans, and presentations.
- Travel within the DOE / NNSA Nuclear Security Enterprise.
- Lead NA-82 participation in stakeholder meetings.
- Provide project management support to NA-82 and their U.S.-France Nuclear Threat Reduction program management team.
- Provide backup project management support to NA-82 and their U.S.-United Kingdom Nuclear Threat Reduction program management team and other NA-82 international engagements.
- Review documents for international exchanges; coordinate agendas and develop office / laboratory strategies for international engagements.
- Organize and participate in interagency / interoffice meetings, strategic planning, and policy development.
- Assist NA-82 in annual program reviews, quarterly lab reviews, end-of-year reviews, and other oversight and management efforts related to the NA-82 intelligence and threat assessment and international portfolios.
- Travel up to 20% of time both domestically and internationally.
