What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pick Pack Associate position at Melissa & Doug USA?
ROLE OVERVIEW
The successful incumbent in this role will have the knowledge, skills and ability to pick different types of product throughout a Melissa & Doug Distribution Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick product from appropriate locations throughout the distribution center
- Pack orders into boxes and transport orders to shipping areas to fulfill customer orders on time
- Ensure all outbound orders are accurate, secure and meet quality standards
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory
- Follow Melissa & Doug procedures to safely and effectively pick product
- Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Degree or GED is preferred
- Basic math skills are required
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and productive environment
- Ability to work effectively with a team
- Ability to stand and walk throughout a shift. Shift ranges from 8-12 hours depending on daily production requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at waist
- Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
- Previous distribution center experience is preferred
