What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Melitta North America?
Melitta USA is a premium coffee and coffee filter manufacturer with the corporate office located in Clearwater, FL. We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst.
FA will be responsible for fixed asset accounting, cost accounting and analysis for paper production facilities, month-end closing activities and special projects.
- Ensure that the company Capex requests are tracked, and the Fixed Asset register is accurate
- Analyze and interpret financial data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop financial models and conduct scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making and evaluate business performance.
- Ensure the accuracy of the bill of materials and product costing
- Monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close (G/L & reports)
- Prepare the monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Perform financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, including the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and trend identification.
- Lead ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Strong organization skills, excellent verbal and communication skills, self-starter, time management and multi-tasking ability. Strong customer focus, problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience in SAP platform; S/4HANA preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including expert skills in Excel - A must.
- Attention to detail with a structured thought process.
Experience
- 3-5 years of proven work experience as a Financial Analyst or Financial Analyst
- 3- 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP - Must
- Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed analysis
Education
BS/BA in Accounting or related field.
