What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at Mellow Mushroom?

We’re Mellow Mushroom Statesboro, and we’re looking for an Assistant Manager who keeps the joint jumping and the vibe steady while our team members serve up stone-baked pizzas, crave-able food, and refreshing craft cocktails. You thrive on leading a team through unique challenges while never losing sight of the business of managing a restaurant. This isn’t just any pizza place. And you aren’t just any Assistant Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations- including staffing, food quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Set the Mellow vibe with staff and guests, resolving guest issues as needed.
- Help us control the business end of the business- increase profits and minimize losses, assist in managing inventory and labor(including scheduling), and resolve maintenance issues.
- Train new team members and supervise current employees to consistently provide exemplary service with a Mellow vibe.
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment for guests and staff by adhering to the Mellow Mushroom standards for safety and sanitation.
- Schedule maintenance and repairs as needed. Things sometimes break, and we need you to help fix them.
