Summary /Objective
The Distribution & Logistics Manager manages the organization's logistics and distribution strategy to ensure the efficient and cost-effective flow of food & non-food products. This position leads development and evaluation of Key Performance Indicators to drive service levels and on-time deliveries. As well as supports continuous cost improvements, continuity of supply, quality standards, and risk mitigation. The role includes responsibility for inbound, outbound, and inter-branch logistics operations as well as franchisee & operator resolutions.
This position also provides support to the Sr Supply Chain & Purchasing Director in the procurement of various goods and services; processes/and or oversees day to day operations with Distribution, Logistics, and suppliers as needed. Assists Director in securing bids and preparing proposals; provides general office support; communicates with internal & external departments, vendors and suppliers to gather information and solve problems.

- Oversee company activities related to distribution & logistics and inventory levels.
- Determine Logistics requirement to enable company business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
- Develop, recommend, & lead process related solutions pertaining to distribution in partnership with 3rd party providers and contract suppliers.
- Manage inventory and establish controls to ensure Mellow Mushroom is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance indicators and minimized supply chain risk.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.
- Develop and continuously improve supplier programs.
- Participate in existing and new product planning processes & brand initiatives
- Establish annual goals and objectives, in coordination with corporate objectives and manage performance to ensure attainment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Manages and records all quality incident reports
- Ensures New Restaurant Openings orders are completed and delivered on time
- Forecast and work with Limited Time Offers while monitoring inventory levels at both the Distribution and supplier levels
- Maintain and monitor current inventory levels on major and minor items with our Distribution network
- Ensure all levels of supply chain and internal departments are aligned for execution and supply sustainability
- Build relationships within the company and with external partners, such as franchisees, operators, suppliers & distributors
Competencies
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Proficient in logistical operations and ability to research freight options with distributors and suppliers
- Business acumen as it relates to financial analysis & COGS
- 5 years direct experience in logistics / distribution management roles.
- Arrowstream experience recommended
- Must be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills are required.

Supervisory Responsibility
Supervises distribution & supplier partners indirectly in compliance with company policies and procedures. Is directly responsible for the decisions, actions and performance of their team and reports that fall under role responsibilities.
Physical and Environmental Work Space
Work occurs in office, a variety of off-site environments such as restaurants and distribution centers which includes surfaces that can be wet and slippery, moderate noise level, and temperature extremes in controlled environments in the cooler and freezer, and depending on location. There may be exposure to certain allergens and / or chemicals. - Driving of a personal, company or rented vehicle to travel to company owned and franchised stores and/or vendor and partner offices/warehouses.

- Required to refrain from drinking alcohol prior to performing specific duties of job such as driving.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additional hours outside of normal business hours and days of the week are the norm as well as overnights. A requirement of this job is to attend vendor sponsored events that could require overnight stays during the evenings and on weekends. A hybrid schedule of work from home/office can be permitted based on employee’s job performance.
Travel
Approximately 10% travel expected during a calendar year; this position may require an occasional overnight trip.
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
