Assistant Director of 6400 Residential Services Overview
Assists the Director of Programs in overseeing and managing the operational and programmatic functions of the Adult Residential Services. Ensures all program goals are met, all regulatory requirements are followed, and all staff duties are performed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures the cleanliness and safety of Residential Programs. Ensures the highest level of care, service and engagement with the participants in the program area as well as identifying appropriate community activities. Ensures that a continuous active treatment program is provided for all individuals to best enable them to attain and maintain the highest possible level of skill and independence.
This position ensures services are provided in line with the participant’s Individual Support Plan (ISP), and ensures accurate and timely billing of residential program services. Will complete Program Specialist responsibilities as needed, which include oversight of the ISP meeting process, requesting of service authorization when needed, family communication, and activity planning which includes regular and frequent community activities.
This position provides frequent on-the-floor supervision and is available as an on-call director on a rotational schedule that runs for seven days, including the weekend.

- With bachelor’s degree: $54,080.00 ( ) based on years of experience
- With master’s degree: $59,488.00 ( ) based on years of experience
- With BCBA: $72,009.60 ( ) based on years of experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred in human services discipline from an accredited college or university.
- A valid US Driver’s License and minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old. Capability of attaining approved Melmark driver status preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards for PA’s ODP 6400 regulations, and Chapter 6100 Regulations.
- A minimum of five (5) years experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is required. A minimum of two (2) years of management experience is also required.
Assistant Director of 6400 Residential Services Responsibilities
- Provides ongoing direction and guidance to Program Managers, staff and other direct reports, ensuring that all program and Waiver Program requirements, quality standards, and work rules and policies are followed.
- Works closely with Program Managers in overseeing and monitoring program goals, daily documentation and oversight of acceptable individual supported hygiene and appearance.
- Ensures organizational communication is consistently delivered to staff at all levels and that other members of the Adult Services Leadership team are informed of service activities, needs and concerns.
- Completes meaningful and engaging supervision with program managers and other direct reports on a monthly basis or more often if necessary.
- Oversees systems that ensure accurate billing, fiscal operation and budgetary performance for programs.
- Works closely with Professional Development in monitoring, providing oversight, direction and training to direct reports and staff to ensure full training compliance.
- Works in collaboration with Clinical Services to ensure continuous and active implementation of prescribed Clinical supports.
- Provides oversight and direction of all regulatory compliance areas of residential programming, incident management and quality of service deliver to individuals supported.
- Maintains current knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements of applicable (DOA, ODP, DOH, etc) regulatory standards.
