Training Coordinator Overview
The Training Coordinator is a key member of Melmark’s Professional Development team, helping to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs that support both new hire onboarding and ongoing staff development. As the first point of contact for new employees, this role requires a professional, engaging presence and a strong foundation in applied behavior analysis. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, enjoys presenting, and is committed to promoting high-quality, compliance-driven staff development in a dynamic learning environment.
Schedule and Salary Information
• Temporary position (6 months)
• Salary commensurate with experience and credentials
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or Special Education required; Master’s preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• BCaBA certification preferred
• At least 3 years of experience with ABA and populations with autism, brain injury, or neurological conditions
• 2–3 years of experience training or supervising staff
• Strong presentation skills and ability to adapt teaching methods to various learning styles
Training Coordinator Responsibilities
• Support the implementation of new employee training and career development programs
• Deliver engaging training content to individuals and groups using best practices in adult learning
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, providing feedback to support continuous improvement
• Stay current on clinical, educational, and licensure-related requirements
• Support special projects and department goals under the direction of the Director of Professional Development
• Research and recommend enhancements to existing training programs
• Ensure compliance with federal and state training regulations
• Maintain confidentiality and promote a positive and professional learning culture
• Collaborate with the Senior Director of School Services and other departments as needed
